Jessica Smith, the smiling Sun Baby from Teletubbies, has grown up and shocked many by announcing she’s already a mother to a beautiful little girl.

Smith was only 9 months old when she was cast to be the smiling Sun Baby on the Teletubbies program, a children’s hit from the 1990s. Now Jess is 28 years old and has left internet users shocked by introducing her lovely little daughter.
She and her husband Ricky Latham became parents to little Poppy Rae earlier this year, and since then, the proud mom has been sharing many photos of her little girl. The news that the Teletubbies baby already had a baby itself moved an entire generation and, at the same time, shocked them to realize how quickly time passes. “Sun Baby having a baby… damn, I’m too old… congratulations,” commented one internet user. “We’re getting old,” said another.
Jess kept her identity as the Sun Baby secret for much of her life, but after so many years of hearing she looked very much like the character, she ended up revealing herself as the smiling baby that adorned the center of the sun in the 365 episodes of the show from 1997 to 2001.
